The 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter is the brand's initial fully-electric van in North America. Mercedes-Benz Vans Canada has recently announced the pricing for this model, which is set to launch in the Canadian market, revealing a fusion of efficiency, range, and load capacity, coupled with several technical innovations.
Pricing and Availability:
The eSprinter, available in a 170'' long wheelbase cargo version with a high-roof configuration, will start at a base MSRP of $97,990. It will offer a WLTP range of over 400 km, and Canadian dealerships will start receiving orders at the end of October 2023. Drive System and Performance:
The electric drive system in the eSprinter is available in two power levels: 100 or 150 kilowatts of peak output, equivalent to 136 hp or 204 hp, respectively, both delivering a torque of up to 295 lb.-ft. for at least 30 seconds. To maximize efficiency, the model features three different drive programs and five recuperation stages, coupled with an automatic function to define the energy recovery rate based on the traffic situation, radar sensor, and navigation data.
Interior and User Experience:
Inside, the optional Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) utilizes the latest software generation, featuring Artificial Intelligence and an intuitive operating system, which can be operated via Voice Control, the touchscreen, touchpad, and touch control buttons on the steering wheel. The system can display various content such as current range, navigation map, or consumption data in real-time depending on the traffic situation and route topography.
