The new coupe is more spacious than its predecessor, the C-Class Coupe, offering extra headroom, shoulder and elbow room, and ample knee room. The trunk space can accommodate up to three golf bags, attesting to the vehicle's practicality in addition to its luxuriousness. The rear seats have been designed to be used on a fairly regular basis or at the very least to be available should the owner need them. Rear knee room increases by 72 mm over the previous C-Class while headroom grows by 10 mm. There’s also more shoulder room thanks to a wider chassis. As mentioned previously, the cargo area is designed to be practical and offers 60 litres more cargo space than the previous C-Class Coupe.

Electrified Performance 

Under the hood, the CLE Coupe is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder powertrain, equipped with a mild hybrid system that offers an electrified driving experience. Delivering 255 horsepower and an impressive 295 pound-feet of torque, this impressive powertrain also stands out in terms of efficiency thanks to its second-generation integrated starter generator and 48-volt on-board electrical system. This electric component can temporally increase power by 23 horsepower (compared to 21 hp in the previous-generation system) and max torque can increase by 148 pound-feet. The goal is to aid in a variety of settings, from smoother starts to improved passing and accelerations all while reducing fuel consumption.

Advanced Safety

The innovative safety systems of the CLE Coupe are worth noting, with standard features such as ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, and a Parking package with reversing cameras. 

The Active Brake Assist, a standard feature with cross-traffic capability, leverages in-built sensors to detect potential collision threats from vehicles ahead, intersecting traffic or oncoming lanes. The system is designed to alert the driver both visually and audibly if a collision risk is detected. Furthermore, if the driver's brake response isn't sufficient, the system has the capacity to amplify the braking torque based on the situation and activate emergency braking if the driver doesn't respond.

Initiating the Active Parking Assist PARKTRONIC system has been simplified and can now be done via the central display. Also, the speed of automatic parking and exiting has been significantly enhanced compared to previous versions. An added benefit is the removal of warning sounds during the parking operation.
