Impressive all-electric powertrain
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter will be powered by an advanced electric eATS powertrain that is specially designed for the demands of utility vehicles. This powertrain features a permanent magnet synchronous motor with advanced thermal management for optimal performance even when fully loaded. It has two versions available, one generating 100 kW and the other 150 kW of peak output, both offering 295 pound-feet of torque. The eSprinter will deliver impressive performance that will create a smoother and overall more efficient journey when transporting cargo.
Canadian consumers can look forward to the largest battery option being available when the 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter arrives, offering a usable capacity of 113 kWh and capable of charging up to 115 kW on a fast charger or 9.6 kW on a level II charger. This means that you can get full range in an incredibly short amount of time.
400 kilometres of range
With the WLTP cycle used in Europe confirming that it can travel 500 km on electric power alone, we expect the new 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter to offer an estimated 400 kilometres of range in Canada. Moreover, charging capability is just as impressive. The new eSprinter will feature an onboard charger with a maximum output of 9.6 kilowatts and capable of charging with up to 1154 kilowatts at fast-charging stations, users can reach 80 percent capacity in just 42 minutes with its 113 kWh battery. Charging is also made easier with the Mercedes me feature and the new infotainment system. The improved technology allows you to easily begin charging via MBUX with payment being possible through the Mercedes me app. In other words, the eSprinter won’t make the driver waste any time having to launch the charging process, and tracking charging expenses will be easier.
A vast cargo area
The versatility of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter will be impressive, boasting a total gross vehicle weight of 4.25 tons and 14 cubic metres of interior load capacity. As with current Sprinter vans, the 2024 eSprinter will offer multiple configurations for the cargo area, ensuring that it is suited to each individual need and business.
A premium interior packed with technology
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter will feature a premium interior with advanced technology. The highlight is the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience system featured in the new eSprinter. Natural voice command activation makes it easy to adjust different functions, allowing you to enjoy your preferred climate or radio settings with ease. This not only makes every journey more enjoyable, but safer as well.
The 2024 eSprinter will also feature the advanced Electric Intelligence Navigation system that we find on all electric Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Offering real-time range data depending on traffic conditions, plus calculating the best charging strategy for your journey, this impressive navigation system is designed to get you to your destination efficiently. And with its range estimating feature, you can be assured that you'll have all the power you need once you arrive to your first destination.
Mercedes-Benz is committed to ensuring a more sustainable future. It’s ambitious objective to ensure complete electrification of its Sprinter lineup by 2025 is well on its way and if the new 2024 eSprinter is any indication, Mercedes-Benz will set the benchmark when it comes to efficient cargo transportation.
